Experiences of a lifetime

Explore biblical lands untouched by time from atop Mt. Nebo, at sandstone Petra, and in ancient Roman cities surrounding Jordan's Dead Sea shores. Sail down the River Nile on a journey that spans 5,000 years of history in the world's oldest civilization. Visit pyramids, temples and tombs that speak volumes about the lives of Egyptian kings and queens, traveling to places immortal and intriguing. And indulge in modern-day luxuries, enriched by the past, at premier hotels and resorts with views of the iconic sites you've dreamed of seeing.

Discover the ancient wonders of Jordan and Egypt on this 13-day journey from the Dead Sea to Cairo, including a three-night Nile River cruise aboard a luxury riverboat. Begin in Jordan with a visit to the Dead Sea, renowned for its mineral-rich waters, and St. George's Church in Madaba, home to a remarkable 6th-century mosaic map. Explore the ancient city of Petra, carved into rose-colored sandstone cliffs, before continuing to Egypt. Discover the monumental temples of Abu Simbel, built during the reign of Ramesses II, and the Temple of Isis at Philae on Agilkia Island. Cruise the Nile from Aswan to Luxor, visiting the temples of Kom Ombo, the Valley of the Kings and the tomb of Tutankhamun, and Luxor's Avenue of Sphinxes. Spend three nights at the historic Mena House in Giza, your base for exploring the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx with an expert Egyptologist. In Cairo, discover the Hanging Church, Al-Rifa'i Mosque, Khan el-Khalili market, and the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Abu Simbel – The Temples that Moved

Discover the remarkable temples of Abu Simbel, one of the most recognizable sites of Ancient Egypt.

Originally located on the banks of the Nile River for 3,000 years, in an incredible feat of engineering, Abu Simbel was dismantled and rebuilt in the 1960's and relocated on a higher hill to make way for the Aswan High Dam. The complex contains two temples; a large one containing four colossal statues of Ramesses II and a second, smaller temple thought to be dedicated to Queen Nefertari. The entrance way of the larger temple was designed in such a way that on two days of the year, October and February 22, the sun illuminates the inner sanctuary including three statues seated on a bench, one of which is the pharaoh himself.

4x4 adventure in Wadi Rum

Desert offroad adventure in Jordan's Wadi Rum

Jordan's Wadi Rum – popularly known as the "Valley of the Moon" – is home to some of the most stunning desert landscapes on Earth. Exploring its beautiful, lunar-like dunes and towering sandstone cliffs by four-wheel-drive vehicle is an absolutely unforgettable experience – and we invite you to do just that… and perhaps even ride a camel… on this thrilling off-road adventure!

The Valley of the Kings

Discovering Egypt's Valley of the Kings

Nestled in Egypt's Theban hills west of the Nile River, near today's Luxor, stands the Valley of the Kings – where, between the 16th and 11th centuries BC, complexes of tombs were cut out of the rock to house the remains of the Pharaohs and other nobles of Egypt's New Kingdom, and prepare them for the afterlife. This UNESCO World Heritage Site contains more than 60 identified tombs and chambers. While many were once filled with treasures, most have been plundered through the ages… with the exception of that of the famous tomb of Tutankhamun, discovered intact in the 1920s, whose artifacts and remains have been removed and preserved. Visiting any of these tombs today is an experience not to be missed.

Can Tauck accommodate mobility limitations?

The responsibility of your Tauck Director is to ensure the larger group enjoys a relaxing and seamless journey; therefore, he or she cannot provide ongoing assistance to any one guest.
