Just loved it; simply loved it. Our Tour director was amazing. Loved the fact that all the hotels were so close to the main attractions. Special dinner/snack in the Vatican garden court yard after the Sistine Chapel visit was the icing on the cake. Also enjoyed the entertainment at the goodbye dinner in the hotel.
Most Memorable Moment:
Our Tour Director suggested that we go see the Monks at a monastery in Florence who sing the Gregorian Chant during the mass. We saw an old monk suffering from Kyphosis almost to crippled by the disease to walk but he still participated in the mass as he feebly stood up to give his blessing at the communion table. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT MOMENT :)
Every stop was historical-spanning the centuries, food and drink mouthwatering. Venice - beautiful, traditions abound Florence - Artwork everywhere we turned Rome - So much history-Romans to WWII and the present It was the little touches that made the difference our Tauck Director was on to of everything, including arranging for events for our extra days.
Most Memorable Moment:
Unexpected: Visit to the Florence American WWII Cemetery.
