Tauck Exclusive – Private, early morning visit at the Louvre

See the treasures of the Musée du Louvre on a private early morning visit

The world’s most visited museum, the Musée du Louvre houses 35,000 works of art, dating from prehistoric days to contemporary times. Eight million people flock here each year excited to see masterpieces like Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, a resident since 1797; the Winged Victory, dating to 190 BC; the Greek goddess Venus de Milo; and other priceless paintings and sculptures too numerous to list. Now, imagine viewing those treasures without the usually huge crowds that visit this place... which is what you'll do on our exclusive private early morning visit to the Louvre.

A private evening at Château du Taillis

Enjoying the pleasures of Normandy with a private evening at Château du Taillis

Prepare to be pampered during an evening of finery and fun at a grand 16th-century Renaissance château set on a park-like estate in the Normandy countryside not far from the Seine. Built in 1530 atop the foundation of a fortified 13th-century castle, the Château du Taillis boasts a 300-year medley of architectural styles that reflect the tastes and times of its owners. Today, you’ll own the night at the château as you are feted at a private reception and dinner inside its opulent ballroom, music playing.

This was my first international trip and Paris was at the top of my "bucket list." Tauck provided the absolute trip of a lifetime with more than outstanding service!

We took this trip late July, it was hot in Paris, but very nice in Normandy. The boat was great, very well maintained, nice rooms and an absolute A team staff. We always meet nice people on Tauck trips, but this was the most social group and we had a great time meeting and getting to know the other guests as well as enjoying the sites of the tour.

Most Memorable Moment:

The first couple of days are in Paris and we stayed at the Pullman hotel. It was incredible to check in and find our room was facing the Eiffel Tower next door. So close it felt like you could reach out and touch it!

This was a spectacular trip. Fourth trip with Tauck, but first on the river. Our stateroom (cat. 3) was "cozy" but adequate, with a lovely floor to ceiling view of the scenery. Food was excellent - and the WINE WAS FABULOUS! Tauck staff was top notch and the crew was great. I am trying to come up with a negative comment - sorry, cannot do!

Most Memorable Moment:

There were many, but our initial view of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony of our room just set the tone for the entire trip - just wonderful! D- day beaches at Normandy, Giverny, Honfleur - memorable moments all.
