From Madrid to the coastal city of Sintra, our Spain and Portugal tours give you in-depth insights into the Iberian Peninsula.

Along Europe's Scenic "Yellow Roads"

Iberia, rediscovered, on a journey unlike any other that explores  scenic and cultural contrasts of Spain and Portugal, sharing the Iberian Peninsula.

There’s a lot of history to be rediscovered in Lisbon at places such as Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, the Discoveries Monument and the Tower of Belém, and in the World Heritage Site towns of Sintra and medieval Évora where rich cultural landmarks chronicle royal Middle Ages lifestyles. Neighboring Spain entices with landscapes dressed in romance, from storybook villages in Andalucía, flower-decked streets in Seville, fine sherry and horses in Jerez de la Frontera and sun-kissed beaches in Marbella. The Moors lingered in Granada and Córdoba the longest, and the royals set up palaces, elegant city squares and the treasured El Prado in Madrid. Rediscover them all, in depth, for two glorious weeks... Read Less

Royal Andalucían School of Equestrian Art

Day 6

A memorable visit to the Royal Andalucían School of Equestrian Art

Elegant Andalucían horses, bred in the Iberian peninsula since the 15th century, are a point of pride and passion for skilled Spanish equestrians who prize their high-stepping steeds for their athletic grace and gait in dressage and “dancing” performances. You may have an opportunity to see a training session with these famous horses on your visit to Spain's palatial Real Escuela Andaluza de Arte Ecuestre (Royal Andalucían School of Equestrian Art) in Jerez de la Frontera. You'll also tour the school's Carriage Museum (Museo del Enganche), which takes you on an interactive journey through the world of horse driving featuring its excellent collection of carriages and harnesses from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Sherry bodega tour and tapas lunch

Day 6

A winery tour and tapas lunch at a sherry bodega reveal the winemaking process

Come celebrate one of the world’s oldest – and sweetest – wines at a sherry tasting and tapas lunch at an 18th-century winery in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Sherry making traditions have been passed down for hundreds of years in the “sherry triangle” around Jerez de la Frontera, and the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Moors, Spanish, and British have all had an influence on the wines you’ll taste. “Sherry” is the anglicized word for Jerez, and only wines from this area can truly and properly be called sherry. Welcome to the source!

Gran Melía Don Pepe
